Interesting experiences on our third day…

Another amazing sunrise

Another amazing sunrise

The sunrise was even more beautiful today. Although this usually doesn’t promise too much good for the weather of the day. But as the locals say: It hardly ever rains in Nusa Penida. So who cares? 😉

Let's start with another delicious breakfast

Let’s start with another delicious breakfast

Of course we also started today with a delicious and abundant breakfast which we enjoyed on our terrace.

What a cool road roller!

What a cool road roller!

When we departed from our home, we took another road this time and passed by this cool old rusty road roller. Of course I couldn’t resist climbing it. 😉

The kind woman shows me how she weaves

The kind woman shows me how she weaves

In one of the villages, we met a woman who was weaving a very beautiful cloth for sarongs. The clicking and clacking of her weaving loom was mesmerising and so we stopped for a while.

Can you see how the shuttle is being shot through the threads? We made a small film for you.

Did you know that they weave double sided?

Did you know that they weave double sided?

The work is very hard and the woman explained that she can weave less than one meter in one entire day. No wonder these fabrics are pretty expensive. But they are very beautiful, too!

Then we continued our ride across the island. Check out the video we made for you.

An amazing panorama!

An amazing panorama!

We also visited Atuh Beach this time. This place, too had changed a lot since our last visit and what we could see from above did not really invite us to take the steep and long exhausting way down…

Let's climb a bit!

Let’s climb a bit!

So we changed direction and climbed some small hills to enjoy better views.

Of course I also shot some photos which I will publish on my Instagram account.

Oh, Mount Agung is erupting!

Oh, Mount Agung is erupting!

On our way back, my Mom noticed something strange about the clouds around Mount Agung over on Bali, and she was right: Mount Agung was in the middle of an eruption! 😯
