When Nyepi ended at 6 am this morning, we got up, and headed for breakfast at our friend’s warung on the beach. It was a very nice morning and there was a rainbow over our bay. After breakfast, we walked along the beach to the spot where the Ogoh-Ogohs are burnt every year.
As usual, this was quite an impressive event. I was happy to meet my friends from the Banjar and help them with the Ogoh-Ogoh.
Some of the kids took parts of the statues for playing and had a lot of fun.
One boy looked particularly funny when he carried a headless monkey statue on his shoulders. His friend had taken the head from the statue.
While the Ogoh-Ogohs were burning, there was also a ceremony taking place on the beach. The whole scenery was very impressive.
