When I came home from school today, mom and dad had a surprise for me: Our friend Putu’s fishermen had finally caught some small tunas (Ikan Tongkol) and mom and dad bought some for dinner.
That wouldn’t have been too special, but today, they also brought coconut shells from one of our friends at the beach cafes and we burned them for grilling the fish.
After a bit of smoke, the smell was amazing and I could hardly wait to taste the grilled fish.
Mom had cooked some white rice and also prepared the delicious balinese raw sambal. It was super enak sekali! I just loved it! 😛
