The tributes to Kadek

The old year didn’t end well with the passing away of our friend Kadek. And the new year didn’t start too well with his cremation.

The funeral procession arrives at the cemetery

We went to the village cemetery this afternoon to pay our respect to Kadek and his family and to bid farewell to our friend. Because the Covid virus is still wreaking havoc everywhere, we didn’t go to Kadek’s home but waited for the procession at the cemetery.

The family and friends arrived in the funeral procession, carrying Kadek’s funeral tower with his coffin.

The funeral tower was nicely decorated and showed a nice photograph of our friend.

Ibu Yani, Kadek’s mother, was given Kadek’s photo, and she insisted on having her picture taken with it as a memory.

Saying the last goodbye

Then, everybody said their last goodbye to Kadek and gave him offerings for his journey to the other side.
