Balinese offerings are draped on a rock
On Christmas’ Eve’s morning, we went for a nice walk on the beach. Many Balinese had brought beautiful offerings, which they had draped on the coral rocks.

Yves enjoys walking on the beach
I really enjoyed walking on the beach, since the sun wasn’t too hot yet, and there were hardly any people on that part of the beach where we were walking.

Yves is in a good mood on the day before Christmas
I also was in a pretty good mood because I knew that we would be having very delightful food later today.

Another delicacy: croûte au fromage
And so it was! Since Christians traditionally don’t eat meat on Christmas’ Eve, mom prepared a delicious “Croûte au Fromage” (which literally means Cheese Crust) for lunch. That’s bread which is covered with cheese, roasted onions and an egg, and then baked in the oven. It was amazingly delicious! 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛

The melted Raclette Cheese is draped over the boiled potatoes
For dinner, we barbecued some fish and shrimps and late in the evening, when we felt a bit hungry, mom and dad prepared a delicious Raclette with potatoes for us. Doesn’t it make your mouth watering just seeing the photo? I could have eaten this all night long. 😛 😛 😛 😛
